Amazing Variety! Fun & Easy!Aug 01, 2010 Amazing book, it includes a nice number of recipes, each one with at least a picture showing the way it should end up. Most recipes are easy enough for novice bakers, but still REALLY good enough for near-pro bakers too!!... I'm not the usual Martha follower, but this one makes me feel like becoming one! You won't regret getting this one.
Posh NoshJul 05, 2010 The Cookies Recipe Book is fabulous. An absolute delight to use. The family and Church group are most impressed at the variety I now present in cookies. Many thanks for such an excellent publication. The Amazon service is great too very prompt when it comes to delivering in Australia.
Martha Stewart CookiesJun 17, 2010 Saw the book in person at a store and found it at a better price on Amazon. Good recipes... eye catching pictures that peak your interest.

needs more translation for home bakersJun 11, 2010 I love this book, and the cookies are very good, although often I produce a different quantity than the authors suggest. I guess I am spoiled by Carole Walter's cookie book--when she says the recipe will make 36 cookies, that's exactly how many it makes. Carole Walter also offers helpful information, such as whether the cookies travel well, are temperature sensitive, and whether you can freeze them. One thing I don't like about Martha Stewart's book is that the instructions often say to use a 2" (or other measurement) sized scoop. Not many home bakers have a set of graduated scoops. It would be nice to at least say, "or 1/4 cup". (I have the same problem with the cupcake book. When you go to the frosting section, the instructions say, "Makes 5 cups of frosting." That doesn't help me. I like books that say, "Enough to frost 24 cupcakes." )
Other than that, the cookies are beautiful, they all sound enticing, and the ones I have made so far have been excellent.
