Chuckit! Ultra Ball - the Best Dog Toy out there!Aug 04, 2010 The question is should I spend $5 on a pair of souped up tennis balls? The answer is a definite YES. My 105 lbs mastiff loves to chase after tennis balls. But his true joy comes from chewing them to bits after he has retrieved them. It takes him about 10 to 15 minutes before a regular tennis ball is no longer recognizable. Since I take him to the park to play fetch it is a nuisance to have to carry 3 or 4 tennis balls every time we play. The ultra ball from Chuckit! is the perfect solution. One of these lasts weeks at a time and retains it bounce for a lot longer than the denigrating standard tennis ball. I also find the bright orange color great for the times when the ball gets lost in some bushes. The only draw back is that it lacks the felt outside that my dog seems to love. But as long as the ultra ball is the only option for play he is more than satisfied.
Once in a while the ultra ball is included in Amazon's 4 for 3 deals which brings the price down to an even more reasonable price. All and all it is the most durable toy I have yet to find for a large dog.
Strong and lightJul 11, 2010 Has enough strength to withstand a moderate chewer and is still light enough to throw without stressing your arm. The lightness is also a plus for dogs who like to catch balls on the fly. Unlike the heavy rubber balls, this ball will not injure your dog if caught on a fly.
Instant obsession!Jul 03, 2010 My lab won't put this toy down except of course for us to throw it! She carries it around for hours, chews on it, bounces it, slobbers it, loves it! It keeps her occupied for hours. I have to steal it away from her to get her to relax. She is quite the chewer but even after hours of chomping on this toy, she hasn't managed to kill it like all her other balls. Chuckit is the perfect size to carry in her mount and is slightly squishy (unlike the Kong balls, which adds to her enjoyment. The price is not bad at all for two balls.

Best Ball EverJun 29, 2010 These balls are virtually indestructable, and make my lab-mix (100 lbs) and my parents chocolate lab go nuts. Both dogs will chew on them for hours, and they bounce when you throw them so they go forever. They float and are bright and easy to see, for the dogs and the people. They like them so much better than tennis balls, and they just keep on going. My dad even parked his truck on one and it came right back. You will only have to replace them if you lose them. They are the only balls we give our dogs now, and I LOVE THEM - SO DO THE DOGS!!!!!!

Long-lasting, well-liked product!Apr 28, 2010 My dog is a bit of a toy snob. He doesn't like hardly any toys and he is not much of a "fetching" dog. He does, however, like toys for the sake of destroying. He hasn't managed to destroy these, yet. My dog will only fetch a ball if he really likes it. And yes, he fetches these.
Pros: Very durable (indestructible for my dog, at least, and he destroys tennis balls in three minutes). Goes long distance for fetching. Colorful, so it's fairly easy to spot from far away. Doesn't get as dingy as tennis balls. Washable. Bouncy! My dog loves jumping and catching the ball in the air after it bounces.
Cons: Yes, it's a little on the heavier side, so if your dog is small, it's probably not the best option. Definitely considerably heavier than a tennis ball. Biggest con: lots of dogs LOVE these, so if you're in a public place with other dogs, be prepared for competition. My dog had his ball snagged away from him a few times at the dog park. One time he actually got so mad, he picked a fight with the dog that tried to steal it! It was not pretty.
